Call for abstracts

You are kindly invited to submit abstracts for oral presentations or poster presentations. Topics may include research results or describe clinical practice. Please email us an abstract in English by filling in the abstract template.

Abstract must be e-mailed to mbe@ptu.dk and marked ABSTRACT + Title in the subject line.

Deadline

Please note that abstracts must be SUBMITTED before February 1st 2011 in order to be sent to review for inclusion in the Scientific Program. Notifications will be sent in April 2011.

Evaluation criteria

The abstracts will undergo a peer review by the Scientific Committee. Accepted abstracts for oral presentations and posters will be published in a conference book and on website after the conference.

Abstracts will be reviewed by the following criteria:

Quality and originality
Relevance to the theme
Clarity of writing and presentation
Completed or nearly completed research

Abstracts not selected for oral presentation will be considered for poster presentation. Abstracts for posters can also describe ways of assessing and treating polio survivors in polio clinics, how clinics are organized, practical tips etc.

Abstracts for sessions for polio survivors do not need to be new research but can be:

Description of assessment and treatment of the polio survivor
Different ways of treatment
Demonstration of assistive devises
Psychological issues
Other relevant topics
